“If anyone has any requests I’d be happy to blow it up for you!
Most of these photos are taken with a special flash unit that uses a high voltage arc in air as the light source. The flash of light lasts only 500 nanoseconds!”

The Petty Girl, work of one of the most respected and best known pin-up artist George Petty. Artist became famous after a series of pin-up painting of women was published in the Esquire Magazine from 1933 until 1956. During this period his work was very popular, the “petty girls” were everywhere, calendars, billboards, advertisement, magazines, etc. So, we can say that he started the pin-up trend which you can find even today in different mediums such as photography, film, modern painting, illustration, etc.
The most interesting fact about his works was that he often depicted these women with the relative lengths of their legs being longer — and the relative sizes of their heads being smaller than those of his actual models.
George Petty never discussed about his inspiration sources, but from his latest works, critiques say that an influence of some popular French painters at that time, can be noticed.
So what I think is that George Petty needs to be studied before working on any project that involves pin-ups cause he is the exact right source of inspiration and study.
Here are some of his most famous works:
Posted on WRATH”
“My boyfriend cheated on me. I found out months after we broke up that he had been cheating for the last 3 months of our relationship. So, I called him and “confessed” that I had an abortion and hadn’t told him about it. It was a total lie. I have no idea if he was even effected. He had treated me pretty badly during the last months of our relationship and he just seemed shut off to me. But I have always felt bad about it.”
This is just great. Reading other people’s confessions. We all like to do that. Go in and post yours.
Akif Hakan Celebi
http://www.hakanphotography.com/
Akif Hakan Celebi, one of my top favorite photographers. Great lightning, perfect composition and color harmonies, all combined into fine art fashion / fetish photography.
Born in Istanbul, Turkey and now a Miami, Florida resident Akif Hakan Celebi is an experimenter when it comes to new photographic techniques and styles. He manages to implement and blend current trends in visual arts with his own creativity which is influenced by many great movies especially from the Far East. In most of his works ,his goal is to give the viewers a story and set an athmospheric mood within the images he creates. He brings ‘Expressionism’ into photography with the use of unusual color combinations and they are a reflection of his own character and personal view. He approaches fashion photography with an edge , blending fine-art and photo-journalistic aspects with glamour , sensuality and beauty. He is always striving to go beyond established styles and widen the boundries of photographic expression. Aside from working in the USA, he also often travels to Turkey and Japan for photography assignments. Akif Hakan Celebi currently resides in South Florida.

Guerrilla, Steven Soderbergh’s next film (written and directed). A biopic about Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara, and guess who is playing Mr. Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara de la Serna’s role, yes, you’re right, Benicio Del Toro. I think he suits best for this role. The movie will appear in 2008.
Steven Soderbergh worked on big pieces like, Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13, The Jacket, Syriana, The Big Empty, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and many many more that need no mention.
Guerrilla is set to begin production January 21 in New York with locations in the Mexican state of Veracruz.
Can’t wait to see the masterpiece.
